Angry ANet is promoting bad behaviour?

Quote from http://www.guildwars.com/competitive...ds/default.php

The Zaishen Rank emotes were created to be very interactive. For example, if you position yourself correctly, you can use it as a finishing move after you defeat someone!
Now, I remember times when someone could get reported then de-ranked and/or temp banned for making rank emote over enemy's dead body in HA because of unsportsmanlike behaviour.

How come, now ANet encourages players to do such things?

Ranking is cheap, especially after the battle. Anet specifically encouraged unsportsmanship behavior by releasing that video and including that functionality in the emote.

I never see people use /rank in AB so Why would this be any different?
Yes, AB is primarily the only PvP I give a damn about.

Because HA is High end PvP and AB is one of the lowest (there's always Fort Aspenwood and that one place no one visits anymore *forgot name*)

True, AB is the lowest form of PvP. Which is why I love it.

this emote just will make a PvEr feel like he/she is a god when they kill someone in PvP, do to them looking up a build on PvXwiki and getting lucky.

No-one is hero-ranked in AB anyway. But you will see many people with at least a copper spear now.

At least you have the solace of knowing this title isn't remotely related to skill... but yes, now you can do one better than corpse-humping, you can pee on it...

Forgot sword btw.... Anyways that's kinda hypocritical of Anet there but I really don't care if some /zranks me, they're just showing their noobness and if you really wanna buy over 9000 zkeys to get a title either you got bored of the game and had nothing better to do or more likely you're stupid.

A spear flying out of no where and landing in the ground? What is with Anet these days?

Maybe they got new staff and they didn't know about the incident haha...
its nothing really... who cares if you get ranked if you lose? i thought the majority of HAers said that rank/emotes dont matter anyways so most people wouldn't care.

Is there any proof of this? Because if true that would have been completely and utterly totally ludicrous. I've seen a few people claim this yet I've never seen proof of it. I'd love to see the links to official proof of this.

In any case,

Nothing is wrong with emoting over someone's body. Don't like it, then don't lose.

If they really had a problem with it, then why would they give the Charr in EOTN a tiger emote that they only use over your dead body?

Its more then just an emote, its a 13-15 year old detector. If Anet still have any decency they would remove the emote crap.

Anyway, all that title things i just some major crap. So much more could have been done for the game but Anet took the the wrong path in promoting a money sink such as this one.

Major waist of 1 and 0.

Just my humble opinion.

Question for the dev (if they ever read this) Since using that emote after owning another player is permitted, will typing in ALL CHAT:"UP YOURS DUDE" or "PWN U NOOB!!!111!!!" will also be alloyed?

Yeah, I already noticed that.

ANet likes to send mixed messages. I'm waiting for the QQers to show up when they abuse this and get banned.
